They are pretty fast and I noticed next to no difference if I save data
directly to the JAZ or to my hard disk. You do have to be careful not to
eject them while they are mounted or you can wreak havoc w/ the filesystem.
I'm also careful to be sure to unmount and eject once finished for the day.
