Dear Colleagues,
We have funding for a three (3) year post-doctoral position at CSIRO's
Advanced Fluid Dynamics Laboratory in Melbourne, Australia. The
successful candidate would use the Laboratory's extensive experimental
facilities, which include a Magnetic Resonance Imaging facility, for
studies of material flows, e.g. slurry flows, granular flows,
non-Newtonian plastic and paste flows. Previous experience with MRI
would be an advantage. We have several research questions in mind but
would expect the successful candidate to be independent and creative
enough to have a large say in the specific research direction. As
well as basic research, the Laboratory conducts industrial research.
The post-doc could optionally take advantage of this to gain some
firsthand industrial science experience, although, basic research
would be first priority.
The start date will be mutually agreeable but as soon as possible.
