Thanks to all the replies. Most of the replies suggested that the hard disk
might be corrupted and to try to reinstall Adakos from floppy. If it was a
hard disk problem, then stop-clear-test1 or test2 should have worked as
well as stop-clear-floppy. This is not the case.

As Bruker and "leonard charles dickinson" <charlie@telemann.pse.umass.edu>
suggested, I'm convinced that the problem must be either the CPU or the
memory board. I tried to reseat the chips in the both boards but it didn't
fix the problem. Replacement boards from Bruker are on their way.
