I am using a DRX-300 with an SGI(IRIX 5.3) workstation running XWINNMR 2.0. I currently
have an HPLJ4P for printing and an HP 7550A+ for plotting. I would like to replace these
with one printing device as the 7550 is going on the blink.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to a good replacement that is reasonably fast? I
need something that will do color and large paper (I have a supervisor who can't see very
well and requests the large paper and color). The biggest problem I have found is printing
in color on 11 x 17(A3) paper, and the lack of a printer which has dual paper trays(A3, A4)
so I will not have to constantly change out trays.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
