NMR Spectroscopist, Research Analytical Services

International Flavors & Fragrances, Union Beach, NJ

The selected individual will provide NMR services and support for
Research & Development projects including characterization and
structure elucidation of aroma chemical materials, functional product
analysis, and authentication of natural flavor materials via deuterium
NMR. Also, the candidate will develop and apply new techniques to
facilitate and improve the problem solving capabilities of the
laboratory.

Requires a Ph.D. in Organic chemistry or a closely related discipline
and a minimum of one year industrial experience in NMR structure
elucidation of small molecules using solution state techniques.
Extensive knowledge and experience with NMR spectrometers (Bruker
Avance), NMR software and applications, and UNIX operating systems
(Silicon Graphics/SUN) is required. The successful candidate will
demonstrate excellent leadership and communication skills as well as
the ability to work in a multidisciplinary cross-functional team
driven environment. Must be able to operate and maintain
high-resolution spectrometers as well as acquire and interpret
one-dimensional and multidimensional spectra.
