How about putting transparent tape over each button. The only problem is
the tendency by some of the users to have an urge to remove the tape.
Before I arrived at my current position, some of such buttons had already
been irrecognizably worn, so someone had made a diagram of the buttons on
the SCM panel and put it next to the appropriate button set. I hope either
of these two suggestions may be of use.
