According to Dr. Engelhard from Bruker this problem is caused by
communication interrupts between the SGI workstation and the
Aspect computer controlling the acquisition. The workaround is
not to swith to the acquisition window when starting the acquisition
but to stay in the processing window. This appeared to be working
fine with our last two long acquisions.
Another user on this list said they had to buy a new RCU ($1300)
to fix the problem.
I
f staying in the acquisition window does the job, I will stick with
that.
