disk filling up since XINNMR upgrade

Our DPX-250 appears to be filling
up disk space slowly byt surely since
the upgrade to XWINNMR 2.5 from 1.2.

All data is written to an external drive.
I have crontabs removing "*unix*" and "*core*"
from /usr/adm/crsh and "core" from /.

When ver. 2.5 was installed we had df of 85%.
Now we're up to 92% and things are getting slow
with frequent swap error.

Does the newer version write some files,
other than the ones mentioned in my
cron files, that need to be periodically
cleaned out? Any other ideas?
