Acustar II on an AMX.

Greetings all,

We are trying to upgrade our AMX-500 with z-axis pulsed field gradients and
are having problems that someone may be able to help us with. Our AMX is
circa 1991 with an X-32 CPU-2 and MCI. We are attempting to upgrade with an
Acustar II amp and a GCON board (in the X-32) but can not get this
configuration to work. The hardware appears to be connected properly and
the gradient pulse generation software routines work fine (gradshapes,
gradpulses, etc.) and the pulse program compiles and thinks it is running
fine but rather than pulsing normally, the Acustar kicks on on the first
pulse and stays on and the only way to kick it off is to hit the reset
button on front. We have received conflicting information on which inputs
on the front of the GCON board need to be connected. Currently the PCC is
connected to a frequency source in the router and NG is also connected to
the router but the DSC and EXT are not connected to anything. Does anyone
else have this configuration or some insight on what may be our problem?
Thanks in advance.

Brian
