Using HP7550a plotter with XwinNMR 2.6 on O2

Has anyone had any luck using an HP7550a pen plotter
with XwinNMR 2.6 on an O2? I can configure it O.K. with
cfpp, but I get a plotter configuration error when doing
a plot (or even a "view"). I've tried using SGI's serial port
manager as well as and in stead of cfpp, but no combination
seems to work. I have the plotter on ttyf2, and I'm pretty
sure the cable is O.K.

On a similar note, has anyone had any trouble with buffer
overflow on an HP2100 printer on an XwinNMR/O2 system.
On only moderately complex 2D, or even some noisy 1D plots,
the printer gives a "recoverable error" indication, and the panel
lights indicates an overflow condition. I added more memory
(20 Mb total) to the printer, but this hasn't helped. I suspect that
the problem is because HP only assigns 100k to the IO buffer, and
the R12000 O2 can just dump the data it too fast for it to handle.
The obvious solution would be to assign more of the memory to
the IO buffer, but the manual doesn't give any indication how. I
suspect that it must be software controlled (a PCL command?)

Thanks in advance!
