          Dear Bruker Users,

We are needed in the cheapest second hand selective 500 MHz H-1 NB probehead
for WM, AM, AMX or DRX spectrometers without gradient coils. If you have it, but
never use, let me know, please.

Our NMR center in Zelinsky Institute of Organic Chemistry, Moscow supplies
with a lot of routine H-1 spectra approximately 200 intensive working chemists for
quality control at any stage of chemical reaction (visit, please, our statistics
page: http://nmr.ioc.ac.ru/charts/index.html ). I have found that Bruker's Avance
spectrometer with small software and hardware improvements can provide the highest
productivity for routine spectra also. With digital lock and orthogonal shimm
coils, high sensitivity, excellent base line of spectra it is possible to get one
routine (resolution 2 Hz) proton spectrum almost every 15 seconds:

1. Change sample 2 sec
2. Locking 2 sec
3. Z-shimming 10 sec
4. One scan (pi/2 pulse) 1 sec
5. Background processing 0 sec
Total 15 sec (240 spectra per hour; 2000 per day)

On the other hand, the sample should be positioned inside magnet at least
one minute (60 sec) to establish net magnetization (5*T1). This problem can be
solved, if the train of sample tubes will be dropped down from the top of magnet
and go away through probehead. It is natural moving direction of the sample
(remember Newton's apple) and can much simplify sample changer. That is why we are
going to buy a second hand probehead.

With best wishes and kind regards, Yuri Strelenko.
