Postdoctoral Position Available, starting Sept., 2002, in the Department of
Molecular Biology and Biochemistry, Simon Fraser University, Burnaby, BC,
Canada
The project will involve structural studies of a membrane-associated
polypeptide in cubic-phase lipids by multidimensional-NMR spectroscopy at
600 MHz. Candidates are expected to have relevant experience in structure
determination using NMR techniques.
Experience in working with lipids and in protein purification would be an
asset. The gene for the polypeptide under study has been fused in-frame to
the gene for a maltose-binding domain, and the overexpressed gene product
purified by affinity chromatography on amylose columns.
