XwinNMR display on Mac OS X/Xfree86?

Hi All,

Does anyone know how to configure the correct color mode for a remote
XwinNMR display when connecting from a Mac OS X machine to an SGI? I
can connect OK and get displays from other programs, like the
Toolchest and nedit, but if I try starting XwinNMR I get the
following:

Xcpu: Cannot get visual class PseudoColor
Please configure your X-Server to
PseudoColor and 8 bit per plane
visual class "TrueColor" not supported.
Please configure 8 bit per plane.
Program is exiting...

I tried running my Mac with a 256 color display, as I found on the
web that this helps with PC X-servers, but this does not make it work.

I'm running Mac OS X 10.2.3 and X11 0.1 (XFree86 4.2.1).

Thanks for any help,

Phil.
