RE: How can I find out if it is locked in AU.

HI Mike,

Thanks for the help. I want to know if the instrument was locked the entire
time because this is an automated system and I want to make sure that if the
lock fails that the automated run stops. I had thought that testing AUERR
after each step in my macro would do the trick, but apparently not being
locked is not an error.

I need a generic solution that will work for all Bruker systems. Is LOCSHFT
the parameter that tells that the last experiment was locked the whole time
or not? I believe that this information is stored in the dataset in a file
too. If I can't find a parameter that works I will have to look in this
file.

Best regards,

Bob Albrecht

Bob, you didn't mention what version of xwin you are running but in my
version (3.5), the status parameter is LOCSHFT. Try that. If you simply
want to know if the experiment was locked the entire time, you could also
consult the history file (type "hist on" to enable it). The history file is
a favorite tool of mine for debugging purposes.

Good luck!

Mike

Hi Everyone,

I need to find out if there is a lock during the last experiment. If the
Bruker manual I find this:

Parameter:

LOCKED - lock status during acquisition

. takes one of the values TRUE or FALSE

. can be viewed by entering 1s locked on

. The status parameter LOCKED indicates

was locked during the entire acquisition

and

FETCHPARS gets parameters for acquisition and processing after acquisition
is complete.

The problem is that LOCKED is not listed as a parameter in the parameter
types for AU. Is there really a LOCKED parameter that you can get with AU?

Before I just try it, has anyone done this?
