Dear NMR people in Southern California,

     The Southern California Users of Magnets (SCUM) will hold the Spring
2001 meeting on Saturday, May 12th. A tentative schedule is as follows:

9:00 AM - Coffee, etc.

10:00 AM - "Whole-brain metabolite mapping using MR spectroscopic
           imaging"
               Dr. Mike Tyszka - City of Hope

10:30 AM - "Solution structure of the C-terminal DNA-binding domain
            of the DNA-repair protein Ku70"
               Ziming Zhang - City of Hope

11:00 AM - "NMR studies of nucleoprotein complexes formed during Mu
            transposition"
               Jonathan Wojciak - UCLA

11:30 AM - "Solution structure of the Dead ringer ARID - DNA complex and
            new NMR methods developed for its structure determination"
               Dr. Junji Iwahara, - UCLA

Noon - 1:30 PM LUNCH

1:30 PM - "A Method to Obtain High Resolution 13C CT HSQC Spectra of
            Proteins with a Short Constant Time Period"
               Anna A. De Angelis - UC Irvine

The meeting will be held at the City of Hope in Conference Room 3 of the
