the solution to your first problem is: use the latest relase software on the
X32 as well. This version will be able to read the new meta file format of
the ASPECT Station.
The reason for 'duplication' of the parameter files is the following:
acqu and proc files contain the parameters as the user wants them to
be used for the next acquisition or processing, whereas proc and procs
contain parameters as they have been applied to the existing
data. During the acquisition one can change them and prepare the next
experiment without disturbing the running acquisition. There are also
some parameters which can be changed by the acquisition process
itself, for instance the parameter NS in acqu represents the number of
scans which should be done, but if the experiment is terminated
prematurely with 'halt', NS in the file acqus represents the number of
scans actually done.
