I've the following(inter-related?) problems on our AMX300.
1)while processing/displaying a 2d,phase-sensitive (States) spectrum,
something went haywire and I wasn't able to raise the threshold level
up.... I'm sorry if I'm not being very clear, but what I mean is that
the screen was awash w/ various intense colors, into which all peaks
dissolved.
2)But the above was true only for 'intensity' and 'contour' modes.
Everything was fine for 'oblique' view mode.
3)Deleting the processed data & reissuing 'xfb' didn't help; I encountered
the same screenful of colors.
4)Ditto for exiting UXNMR and reentering it as well as for the sequence
exitUXNMR-logout-login-UXNMR.
(of course 'shmrm' was issued before each reentry).
Now comes the biggie:
5)After a coupla times however, the mouse would freeze upon the 1st click
on any icon including 'EXIT'; while a message would appear on the screen
something like, 'DISPGV error; failed to wake up a dead process'....
'm not sure. Somethign like that.
I could get out of UXNMR only by logging remotely and killing ALL
the processes by issuing 'kill -9 -1'.
But this was of little consolation, as e.thing would repeat itself
upto freezing of the screen, mouse, and e.thing.
