NMR FACILITY DIRECTOR
The Department of Chemistry, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill,
has an opening for Director of the department's NMR facility, which
currently houses a Bruker DRX500, a Bruker DRX400 and a Bruker DMX360
wide-bore instrument, in addition to 4 low-field (AMX300, WM250, AC200 and
Gemini 300) spectrometers. Installation of a Bruker DRX400 wide-bore
(March) and a 600MHz narrow-bore spectrometer (fall 2000) are in progress.
This opening is a career track, non-faculty position with an anticipated
starting date of May/June 2000. This position will supervise and oversee
the general operations of the facility, develop new experimental protocols
and provide technical assistance on high-field NMRs, train users, and
interact collaboratively with research faculty with varied interests and
other professional staff. This position offers a competitive salary based
