WATERGATE problem

Deear BUMmers,

I've been trying to use Bruker's pulse program zggpw5 for double-echo
WATERGATE water-suppression. Although the suppression is superb, the
spectra are not useable because there is phase distortion, particularly in
multiplets.

Now, I understood that this program, which uses the w5 sequence twice, was
supposed to eliminate phase distortions - but it does no such thing. Anyone
got any ideas why this might be?

(DPX400, XWin-NMR 2.5, SGI O2, z-gradient, no pulse-shaping)

Alan
