The CCB EDI Committee is bringing Tricia Carmichael to campus on Wednesday, April 26 to help facilitate some EDI-focused conversations in the department.

By popular request, she will be offering a brief, practical workshop for faculty on writing a meaningful EDI section for your grant application (April 26, 3:15-4:00). The conversation will be centered around two main themes:

• How to approach this component of the application as useful and beneficial to one’s research (not just a performative thing for an invisible panel of reviewers)
• Meaningful ways to talk about EDI even if your research doesn’t have “obvious” EDI applications

Please let us know if you can come using the link in your McMaster email by Monday, April 24.  We are hoping that most people will attend in person, but we will make a Zoom option available for those who cannot be on campus.
