Metal-Mediated Cycloadditions and Macrocyclizations for ScalableSyntheses of Conjugated Nanocarbons
ProfessorTilley’s research seeks to explore the synthesis, structure and reactivity ofnovel inorganic and organometallic systems. He is well known for pioneering thefield of transition metal silene and silylene chemistry.
Prof. Tilley’s work has been recognized with many honours anddistinctions, including the ACS Award forDistinguished Service in the Advancement of Inorganic Chemistry (2014), the ACSFrederic Stanley Kipping Award in Silicon Chemistry (2008) and the CentenaryLectureship and Medal (2007).
