RESEARCHER RECOGNIZED AS UNIVERSITY SCHOLAR

Congratulations to Jose Moran-Mirabal on being named a 2022 University Scholar.

Jose is an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry & Chemical Biology, Founding Scientific Director of the Centre for Advancing Light Microscopy and Canada Research Chair in Micro- and Nanostructured Materials.

“I would like to thank all the students and trainees, collaborators and colleagues for all the work and support that have made our research and academic endeavours so successful,” says Jose.

Jose is among six mid-career McMaster researchers to be named University Scholars. Recipients have distinguished themselves as international scholars with a demonstrated commitment to the discovery, communication and preservation of knowledge, excellence in education and pedagogy and to serving local and global communities. 

Jose is joining distinguished company. Other researchers from the Faculty of Science who have been named University Scholars include Graham Scott, Laura Parker, Joanna Wilson, Paul McNicholas, Maikel Rheinstadter, Marie Elliot and Paul Ayers.
