The McMaster Regional Centre for Mass Spectrometry (MRCMS) has been serving the R&D needs of academia and industry in Canada and the US since it first opened in 1986. Operated by a professional Manager and a Laboratory Technician, MRCMS houses six mass spectrometers. This Facility:
- Provides service to McMaster community, external institutions and corporations
- Offers 2-day turnaround for routine samples (depending on resource availability)
- Will develop special projects as per client requests
- Capabilities for the structural elucidation/analysis of unknown organic, inorganic, and biochemical materials
- Follows Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), instrument validation (instrument dependent) and documentation practices
